Alejandro Diez Barroso

Alejandro has been working in entrepreneurship and venture capital in Mexico for the past 15 years. In 2000 he co-founded WAU Spot, a company which he sold in 2005. In that same year, Alejandro founded DILA Capital, a company that bought the rights to manage Vilebrequin in Mexico and was appointed as CEO of the company. He managed Vilebrequin Mexico during 4 years until its sale in 2009.

From that date until today, Alejandro has been working on executing venture capital investments as Managing Partner in DILA Capital. He has led the analysis, due diligence, investment process and follow-on investments of over 30 start-ups from 2013 to date, having fully invested 2 funds. He is currently fundraising DILA III.

Alejandro holds a BS in Economics from Universidad Iberoamericana and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management in Northwestern University.
