On June 8th, Dux Capital concluded with the fourteenth investment of its first fund in Pura Mente, a Latin American startup that provides personal development through a meditation application.

Pura Mente, founded in 2019 by Martín Becerra, is the first application in Latin America totally in Spanish to practice meditation. Currently, Pura Mente has a library of more than 250 audio sessions guided by meditation teachers. This application helps develop the habit of meditation so that people can improve their quality of life and professional growth.

Pura Mente was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as a totally free program. Then, after the great success of the application, the premium version was launched to the public, where they improved the characteristics and content for a better experience for the user. Due to COVID-19, the health & wellness market was one of the industries with the most growth in 2020, which helped Pura Mente achieve the popularity that it has today.

Martín and his team, as experienced entrepreneurs, had done everything to make this business profitable, and that’s the reason why, although the company has only been operating for two years, Pura Mente raised USD$200k in a pre-seed round, where Dux Capital led the round.

With Dux Capital’s funding, Pura Mente will consolidate its operations, will continue developing the content of the application and will expand its business across different countries of Latin America.The Dux team will bolster Pura Mente ́s growth for the following months providing them with industry insights, networking, efficiency in capital structure, commercial efforts, among others.
