PE Day NY
June 20, 2019 @ 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

The Mexican Association of PE & VC Funds, AMEXCAP, appreciates your attendance to the VII Mexico PE Day 2019, Mexico: Investing in a New Business Environment, which took place on June 20th, at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel.
We are glad our event served as a forum to present an overview of the national and international economic panorama, as well as the opportunities in different sectors for the Private Equity industry in Mexico; likewise, the former negotiator of NAFTA (now USMCA), Kenneth Smith, gave us the perspective of the bilateral relation between Mexico and the US.
We were also very proud to present the PE Overview “Private Equity in Mexico: Investing in a New Business Environment”, an unprecedented study that analyzes the Private Equity industry and its regulations, including statistics about fundraising, investments and exits divided by strategies i.e. Venture Capital, Growth & LBO, Real Estate, Infrastructure & Energy. It includes an analysis of these strategies by the president of each committee of the Board of AMEXCAP. Finally, it contains an outlook of the Latin America Alternatives Industry. This study was elaborated by AMEXCAP, Preqin and EY and it is available in the following link:
Furthermore, the great importance of the event to build trust and attract investments to Mexico was clear with the presence of high-level Mexican government representatives such as Arturo Herrera, Deputy Minister of Finance of the SHCP, Rogelio Jiménez Pons, General Director of FONATUR and Jorge Mendoza, General Director of BANOBRAS.
The AMEXCAP is very pleased with the results achieved for this year’s edition of Mexico PE Day, which included over 200 attendees (36.07% Advisors and Financial Services Firms, 26.48% Private Equity Firms, 14.61 % Institutional Investors & LPs, 3.65% Family Offices, 19.18% Government Officials & Local or International Organizations). Besides, in terms of gender distribution, we had 21% of female assistants. Regarding international presence, we had attendees from both the US and Canada, thus we also promote the relation between North American key players.
We want to especially thank our 26 first level speakers, who shared their specialized knowledge and perspectives of different industry strategies, such as Growth, Real Estate, Infrastructure and Energy. They encouraged the dialogue and collaboration to favor economic growth and the development of more investment projects in our country.
Finally, we are very grateful for the continuous support of our sponsors over the years. Many thanks to KPMG, Fondo de Fondos & Galicia Abogados. Also, special thanks to our Supporting Organizations.
